Acquisition Confirmation

An Acquisition Confirmation (AC) verifies each step in the provenance of a plant, establishing a reliable chain of ownership and origin. Each link in the provenance tree must be confirmed by the owner of the specific plant or seed.

Plant Provenance Certificate

This process creates a complete plant provenance tree, with confirmed steps marked by a solid line and unconfirmed ones by a dotted line. When you generate a Plant Provenance Certificate (PPC), you’re formalizing the information in the provenance tree.

This digital certificate (PDF) compiles all relevant details about the plant’s history and enables you to share its verified provenance outside the Plant Provenance website. The value of your PPC reflects both the number of confirmed AC steps and the reputation of previous owners, as indicated by their reviews.
