Commissions and Discounts

As an early-stage affiliate, you'll benefit from a highly competitive structure:

• 20% commission: Earn a generous 20% commission on the first purchase made by every user you refer.
• Customer discount: Your followers get a matching 20% discount on their first purchase, making it a compelling incentive to use your code.
• Quarterly payouts: Receive your accrued earnings at the end of each quarter.

As an Affiliate, you're not just part of the Plant Provenance community, but a part of the team. As such, you have an open invitation to join our regular meetings with our Advisory Board to discuss the future of Plant Provenance, bring in your ideas, and be a voice for your immediate community.

Affiliate Program Guidelines

I. General Agreement and Payouts

1. Acceptance
   Affiliates must be approved through the official application process and agree to the Terms & Conditions.
2. Commission structure
   Affiliates earn a 20% commission on the first purchase made by every user they refer.
3. Customer Discount
   Affiliates must inform their audience that new users receive a matching 20% discount on their first purchase.
4. Payout Schedule
   Commissions are paid out quarterly, within 10 business days after the end of each quarter.
5. Tax Responsibility
   Affiliates are responsible for providing all necessary tax documentation (e.g., W-9, W-8BEN) and for reporting all income and paying any taxes due in their local jurisdiction.

II. Permitted and Prohibited Promotional Methods

1. Permitted methods
   • Content marketing
     Creating blog posts, reviews, tutorials, and comparison guides that genuinely feature Plant Provenance.
   • Social media
     Promoting through direct posts, stories, and videos on approved social channels (e.g., Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
   • Email marketing
     Promoting to an established, opt-in email list.
2. Prohibited Methods (Strictly Enforced):
   • Spam & unsolicited email
     Sending bulk or unsolicited emails promoting Plant Provenance is strictly forbidden.
   • Trademark bidding
     Bidding on Pay-Per-Click (PPC) keywords that contain the brand name "Plant Provenance" or any variations (e.g., "Plant Provenance coupon," "Plant Provenance review").
   • Misleading claims
     Affiliates must not make false, misleading, or exaggerated claims about the platform's features, pricing, or capabilities.
   • Incentivized sign-ups
     Offering cash back, points, or any other form of monetary incentive solely for signing up.

III. Content and Brand Standards

1. Brand Tone
   All content created by the affiliate must maintain a professional, helpful, and high-quality tone consistent with the Plant Provenance brand.
2. Accuracy
   Affiliates must ensure all feature descriptions, pricing information, and platform details are current and accurate.
3. Disclosure
   All promotional content (videos, blog posts, social media posts) must include a clear and conspicuous disclosure that the post contains an affiliate link (e.g., "This post contains affiliate links" or "#ad"). This is often a legal requirement.

IV. Codes and Tracking

1. Unique tracking codes
   Affiliates will be assigned a unique code (e.g., AFFILIATE20) for customer discount and commission tracking. This code must be used by the customer at checkout to validate the referral.
2. Code validity
   The unique code assigned to the affiliate is valid for one year from the day the affiliate was approved. Once a code expires, you may contact us for a new code at hello@plantprovenance.com.
3. Customer incentive
   The primary affiliate code grants the customer a 20% discount on their first purchase.
4. Seasonal promo codes
   Plant Provenance may, from time to time, share additional seasonal promo codes with affiliates. These codes will have specified validity periods and terms, which must be clearly communicated to the audience.
5. Required disclosure
   Affiliates must clearly disclose that their audience needs to enter the code at checkout to receive the stated discount.
